🏨Create tourneys

In RACE Poker is it completely persmissionless to create and run custom tourney games

To create your own tourney, go to the left menu interface and use "Create tourney" button Or follow this URL: https://racepoker.app/#/create-tournament

• Tourney title: The name of the tourney that will be seen in lobby or events page

• Max players: The amount of players able to join your game. The more players there are, the bigger the onchain account is needed, hence the more expensive rent you will have to pay. Currently the limitation is 350 players per game.

• Token address: Enter the SPL token address that you want your prizepool to be in. Default value represents native SOL.

• Prize structure: how the prizepool will be distributed amoung the winners in percentages. For example: 50/30/20 means there is 3 winners with 1st place getting 50% of the prize pool, 2nd getting 30% of the prize pool and the 3rd getting the 20% of the prize pool. You can have up to 20 winners in a single game. The sum of all % should equal to 100.

• Transactor: Mainnet

• Entry fees: Transactor fees for serving the game - right now fixed at 1% from entry fees. Owner fees: you can enter your own rake in % from the registration fee. If you enter 2, that will be 2% from the registration fee that you set up.

• Start time: Select the date and time for your tournament to start. You game will start automatically at this time and date. After you create it there is nothing to stop it from happening.

• Initial chips: Enter the amound of chips everyplayer will start the tourney with.

• Ticket price: Registration fee for a player. If set 0, then it will be a freeroll. If set >0, then that amound will add to the prizepool f the tourney that will be distributed to the winners (apart from the fees part, where 1% goes to the transactor, and the % you specified goes to you as the owner wallet)

• Table NFT: If you created custom table design as discussed in Workshop, you can replace this with your table NFT token address. You can find your table NFT token address in explorer.

• Cover ID (AR txid): Arweave transaction id for an image (16:9) that will be displayed in the tourney details sidebar and in on the Event page if your tourney gets featured. To upload custom image refer to Workshop for Arconnect wallet and topping it up, then upload an image directly in your arconnect wallet (SVG, JPG or PNG) and provide transaction id in this field.

• Description: Short text that will be visible in the tournament details on the right sidebar and on the Event page is your tournament gets featured. Supports external links starting at a new line. Example:

Prizes

By default, your prizepool is growing with the registration fees paid by entrants. Unless you made an owners entry fee of 99%, or it is a freeroll tourney, your prize will be growing with every registration.

You can sponsor additional token to the prizepool after the tourney is created. Select your tourney in the lobby and use "sponsor" button on the right sidebar. You can only sponsor in the token of the prizepool.

You can add NFT prizes to the prizepool if you are the tourney creator (owner). Select your tourney in the lobby and use "attach NFT" button on the right sidebar. You will see the grid for 20 winners. You can select what NFT goes to the top 1, top2 top 3 etc. if you make a mistake use "Reset" button at the bottom of the interface. Once you are satisfied press "Attach" and sign the transaction.

Warning! Once you sponsor tokens to the prizepool or attach NFTs, there is no way to retrieve them back.

Closing tournament account

You are able to close the tournament account 3 days after the tournament is complete. Select your tourney in the lobby and use "close" button on the right sidebar. If there is some unclaimed tokens or NFTs left in the tourney account, those will be transfered to you. You will also receive rent SOL you paid when creating the tourney. If you have not closed your tourney account, after 7 days transactor server owner might close it for you to free space in an onchain registration account.
